The Challenge begins with some preliminaries. Not surprising. You always have to lay a foundation before you start to build. And if you're building a skyscraper, that foundation had better be deep and solid.

One's online empire might be likened to a skyscraper. So as I start the 2010 version of building my online empire, taking care of the preliminaries seems to be a good first step.

The preliminaries include becoming familiar with UStream and a few other tools such as Market Samurai (MS). I have seen MS used and I think it is going to be an extremely powerful internet marketing accessory, but rather than jump the gun I'm going to wait to talk about it until we start using it in the Challenge.

A couple of years ago in the 30 Day Challenge, someone coined the term "The Tao of Ed", meaning that Ed has a plan for rolling out all this training, and we should follow that plan rather than run ahead trying to get things done before we understand exactly what it is we are supposed to be doing.

So after doing today's preliminaries, I rest in the Tao of Ed, and just look at forum posts or enhance the designs of my existing blogs. Oh, and journal today's effort.

Calm before the storm you might say. :-)

The Challenge! 07/02/2010

I like money. I often tell my students that. Then they smile, because they like money too. Who doesn't like money? When people say to me "Money doesn't buy happiness." I object. I tell them, give me a bunch of money see how happy I get. And then I say "Anyone who thinks money can't buy happiness doesn't know how to shop!" And even if it doesn't buy happiness, it makes misery a whole lot easier to tolerate.

But let's assume, for the purposes of discussion, that money does indeed buy happiness, or at least the things that make us happy. Then we should want more of it, right?

Of course!
Hence, The Challenge.
Today marks the beginning of the preliminaries to Ed Dale & friends' The Challenge, formerly the 30 Day Challenge, an internet marketing training program that will give us the tools and knowledge we need to be successful at online marketing. That means, MAKE MONEY online.
What's not to like about that?

Oh yes, and did I mention the training is free?

All you have to expend is a little hard work.

Follow along as I blog about my progress with The Challenge.
